Customers and recipients must be at least 21 years old. An adult signature and valid government-issued identification are required at delivery.
Where we ship
Basement Wines ships only to destinations where it is licensed and permitted to do so. Eligibility is determined using the delivery address during checkout. An order is not accepted until Basement Wines confirms that it can lawfully fulfill the shipment.
Delivery requirements
- Wine cannot be delivered to a PO box.
- A person age 21 or older must be present to sign.
- The carrier may request government-issued photo identification.
- Carrier delivery windows are estimates, not guaranteed appointment times.
Shipping charges and timing
Ground-shipping charges are based on destination and package size and are shown before payment. Estimated transit time begins after Basement Wines accepts the order and releases it to the carrier.
Weather protection
Wine can be damaged by extreme heat or cold. Basement Wines may temporarily hold a shipment when weather along the route could compromise the wine. If a hold is needed, we will contact the purchaser using the order information provided.
Separate merchandise shipments
Wine and print-on-demand merchandise are fulfilled separately and may arrive in different packages. Merchandise does not change the age or signature requirements for wine delivery.
