Main Street Pizza — The Basement on Main is Laurie and Lee Shahin’s active downtown Colfax restaurant and wine bar, above the temperature-controlled cellar where Basement Wines cares for the remaining Two Monsters collection.

Basement Wines first welcomed Colfax into a dedicated wine shop and tasting room. As the food side of the business grew, Laurie and Lee purchased the neighboring building and brought the operation together under one roof as Main Street Pizza — The Basement on Main.
The atmosphere remains deliberately local and relaxed: a place to share food, enjoy wine or beer, and connect with the people behind the bottle. Current announcements, hours, and restaurant updates are posted on Facebook.

From the bar and dining room to the patio and the pizzas coming out of the kitchen, these photographs show the present-day home of the Shahin family’s business in downtown Colfax.
The business changed addresses. The family story stayed together.
Laurie and Lee built Basement Wines as a welcoming place to discover California wine, then carried that same spirit into Main Street Pizza and The Basement on Main.
Their sons, Julian and Jaiden, inspired the name Two Monsters. Today the restaurant, the cellar, and the limited family wine collection remain connected by the people behind them.

The remaining wines are stored in Basement Wines’ temperature-controlled cellar at the Main Street location. Laurie and Lee continue to taste and monitor the wines, and Basement Wines prepares eligible online wine orders for compliant shipment from Colfax.
That makes this more than a mailing address. It is the physical bridge between the original wine bar, the Shahin family’s small-batch label, and the limited cellar release now offered through Wine Country Corner.
